Additional Info This lower unit is in good shape. The paint is chipped, scuffed and scratched in areas, but these are cosmetic issues and only that, cosmetic, and will not affect the performance of this lower unit. The shafts on the unit are straight. We did perform a pressure test on this lower unit and everything held. We do still reccomend installing a new lower unit seal kit and impeller. This shifts in and out of gear smoothly.  From the top of the water pump, the driveshaft measures 21" long and has 14 splines. All of the splines are in good condition. Please note that there is a chip out of the cavitation plate. This unit has been drained and will need oil put in prior to use.

To obtain the 1 year warranty, you MUST send in your core lower unit. We will even pay to have your core shipped to us! Below is the criteria required to validate the warranty:

  • Core must be of rebuildable quality
  • Cannot be locked up - driveshaft must spin
  • Up to 30 days from the date of purchase to send in your core
  • Covers mechanical aspects ONLY
  • Warranty begins from date of purchase
  • Core must be complete and cannot be missing any parts

Upon receipt of your core, we will inspect the unit to determine if it meets the criteria to validate the 1 year warranty. When you receive your purchased lower unit, there will be installation paperwork included in the package. One copy of the paperwork must be signed returned with your core. If it does not, you will be contacted and granted a 30 day warranty. We reserve the right to accept or reject any core at our discretion.
