This is a complete powerhead, but is for parts or repair. When we received this powerhead, it did have the flywheel still on the block. Upon removal of the flywheel, we did notice that thare are a couple arc marks on the crankshaft. It is still usable and a flywheel will fit on it. These arc marks looks like weld marks that could have been caused from a previous electronic short.  The crankshaft is likely to be usable with a proper cleanup, but if nothing else, this has a good block, pistons, and rods. To our knowledge, this comes with standard size pistons and there is nothing on the block to indicate that it has been rebuilt or re-bored. 

We have included the sparks plugs with the cylinder head, but we do recommend replacing them with new. 

During our cleaning process, we will have removed all the gaskets and they will need to be replaced. We can order most gaskets at a small additional cost. If you would like this done, please give us a call at 618-487-9499 and we would be happy to help. Purchase with confidence!
Fits: At this time, we are unable to cross-reference all the years and horsepowers that this will fit. Because of the stampings on the block, we believe this to fit the 40 HP model between 1986-1990. PLEASE look closely at the pictures we have provided for the best comparison.
