FITMENT:
This starter fits every pre-VTEC Honda BF75, BF90, BF115, and BF130 outboard built between 1997 and 2010. That is the full production run of the original A-series mid-HP platform (serial prefix BZBD). Every motor in the list below uses this exact starter from the factory:
- Honda BF75 — all models, 1997 through 2006
- Honda BF90 — all models, 1997 through 2006
- Honda BF115 — all models, 1999 through 2010
- Honda BF130 — all models, 1999 through 2004
This is NOT the right starter for:
- BF75 / BF90 2007 and newer (VTEC / BLAST redesign, different powerhead, uses starter 31200-ZY9)
- BF115D 2010 and newer (DOHC redesign, serial prefix BBHJ, different starter)
- BF135A / BF150A V6 (different engine family, uses starter 31200-ZY6)
If your serial number begins with BZBD and your motor is a BF75, BF90, BF115, or BF130, this is the correct starter.
