OMC Cobra Complete Motor 1989 5.8 L 4 Barrel TESTED GOOD

• This engine is from a 1989 5.8L Michigan boat with rotted transoms
• No signs of salt water use
• Filter for the water separator will need to be replaced - it is missing
• Thorough inspection of manifold and block looking for cracks
• Added fresh gas, ran motor for a few minutes and ran the compression at that time:

• The compression is within specs
• Recommend running the engine for a time to let it warm up and loosen the rings and clear carbon to even out the compression readings
• Distributor cap looks new and has spark
• Points are clean without oxidation or corrosion and all wires are in good condition 
• The belts are in good condition, one looks like its been replaced recently.
• We believe after a carb cleaning/rebuild and new spark plugs this motor is ready to install
• We have included the transom, power steering and gimbal
• The trim pump motor is not included
