Description

OEM Mercury Optimax / DFI 1.5L 3-cylinder empty cylinder block.

This block was removed from a freshwater engine that was torn down due to a knock. The issue was traced to a bad crankshaft. Compression was strong and even across all cylinders, making this a solid rebuildable core.

Correct for Mercury 1.5L 3-cylinder Optimax / DFI engines in 80 Jet, 90, 115, and 125 HP models.

  • Cyl 1: 120

  • Cyl 2: 120

  • Cyl 3: 120

• Empty bare block

• Tear-down due to bad crankshaft (not block failure)
