All of our lower units are in great, freshwater condition unless otherwise stated. We have taken the time to professionally clean, inspect, and pressure check this lower unit to give you confidence about your purchase. This is guaranteed to be in good, working condition. Our lower units are given a new impeller and with this particular one, we have completely resealed this unit. The lower unit propeller shaft has been checked for straightness  and the splines are in excellent condition. They are not chipped or broken. We have tested this item and it does shift smoothly in and out of gear. The oil has been drained and does not have any metal shavings or debris.

Currently, eBay only allows items to be warrantied for 30 days. However, we are willing to extend this warranty to 1 year! In an exchange for a lower unit core, we offer this warranty from the date of purchase. You will have up to 30 days from the date of purchase to send us your core. We will even pay to ship the core back to us. This warranty is only applicable to the seals, gears, and bearings of the lower unit. If something were to happen during this warranty period we would replace, repair, or refund at our discretion. The warranty does not cover non-mechanical damage. Your core must have some rebuildable value and cannot be locked up for your warranty to be valid. We have the right to refuse or reject any core that we feel does not meet the required standards. As seen in the pictures, the skeg on this lower unit has been broken off on the bottom and replaced with a cover. This does not come with the anode or trim tab. From the top of the water pump to the end of the driveshaft, it measures approximately 18-5/8" long. There are 20 splines on the driveshaft and 13 on the propeller shaft. We have opened and inspected this lower unit and the gears are in like-new condition.  The paint on the lower unit is in good condition with only minor scuffs and scratches. This lower unit is ready for your outboard and will just need oil added to go boating!
