For sale is a good, used ported piston and connecing rod. It was removed from a 1977 Mercury 150 hp engine. There are no scratches or scoring marks on the piston or rod. This piston and connecting rod are ported. This would make a great replacement for your outboard.
We listed this as 90 115 140 and 150 HP engines because it will fit all of those. These specifically come from a 150 and are specifically for a 150. The powerhead used on the 90-150 HP inline 6 engines is the same. The pistons for the 150 are ported. The 90, 115, and 140 HP pistons are not ported. They're interchangeable. In other words, if you wanted to change from a 90 to a 150, you upgraded your carburetors and you'd have to change your pistons. It wasa very cool thing that Mercury did there. The cross-reference below will show these as being for the 150, which they are. If you were to buy all 5, though, you'd be one ported piston short of having seriously upgraded your smaller inline 6.
