This Mercury gearcase housing was removed from a freshwater engine and is in good condition. Please note that this does not come with any of the internal pieces and is just the housing. We have professionally inspected this housing and there isn't any damage to the inside of the housing. The paint is lightly scuffed and scratched in some areas, but this is entirely cosmetic. Upon inspection, we did notice some minor corrosion in the housing. This will result in some minor pitting, but will not affect the performance. The threaded portion for the bearing carrier is in excellend shape and is not damaged in any way. There have been some pre-drilled holes in the cavitation plate for a planing fin to be added. As seen in the pictures, this does not come with the trim tab. intake screens, or drain plug. The skegs is in good shape with minor wear. This will make a great replacement part for your outboard! |
