Mercury & Mariner Lower Unit 1987-1997 40 HP 4 Cylinder

For sale is a good, used lower unit from a Mercury 40 hp 3 cylinde rengine. This is along shaf tlower unit. Someone at some point has repainted the housing, but ingood condition none the less. There are scratches on both sides of the unit. The skeg has some chipping off the bottom. The unit was drained and is free of any metal or water in the gear housing. The unit was pressure tested and is holding air flawlessly. The unit was also tested to make sure it was shifting in and out of gear properly and it was. This particular unit has a rounded cavitation plate.
