Additional Info This powerhead is in great shape.  It was removed from a 2001 40 HP Mercury 4 stroke. We did perform a compression check on this powerhead. The cylinder walls are in excellent shape with no signs of grooving or scoring. The threads on the crank are in excellent shape with no rust anywhere. This will make a great replacement for your outboard. Purchase with confidence!
