Mercury 1968-1978 Inline 6 Lower Unit 90 115 135 140 150 HP 6 MONTH WARRANTY

This specific lower unit is a rare find. We have professionally inspected this unit to guarantee it to be in great, working condition. There are some cosmetic flaws in the paint, such as scratches and chips, but this will not affect the overall performance. Upon our inspection, we did notice that there is some rust, but this is purely cosmetic. This unit does have a 1.78 gear ratio. This gear ratio means that large HP's can get more speed out of this unit than the standard lower units. While not technically a racing unit, this gear ratio was last used in the early 70's and is a desirable unit to find. Please note that this does not come with the trim tab, propeller or the propeller hardware.

Please add oil before installation.

To obtain the 6 month warranty, you MUST send in your core lower unit. We will even pay to have your core shipped to us! Below is the criteria required to validate the warranty:

• Core must be of rebuildable quality
• Cannot be locked up - driveshaft must spin
• Up to 30 days from the date of purchase to send in your core
• Covers mechanical aspects ONLY
• Warranty begins from date of purchase
• Core must be complete and cannot be missing parts

You will receive two copies of the terms and conditions for the lower unit 6 month warranty. One copy MUST be signed and returned with your core. Without a returned signed copy, the 6 month warranty will not be valid. 

Upon receipt of your core, we will inspect the unit to determine if it meets the criteria to validate the 6 month warranty. We reserve the right to accept or reject any core at our discretion.
