This lower unit was removed from a freshwater engine and is in good condition. There are not any cracks or breaks in the housing itself. Upon inspection, we did notice that there are pre-drilled holes in the cavitation plate for a planing fin. This unit is missing the trim tab. The paint is worn in some areas and appears to be red in spots, please see pictures. There is a small chip out of the bottom of the skeg, but this will not affect anything. Both of the shafts on this unit are straight and the unit shifts and spins like it should. The propeller shaft has 8 splines and the driveshaft has 6 splines. From the top of the water pump to the end of the shaft, the driveshaft measures approximately 19", making this a long lower unit. We have pressure checked the unit and it does withhold the pressure. We would recommend resealing this unit and installing a new impeller prior to use. Also, please note that ths unit has been drained of oil and this will need to be added prior to installation. Because we have not resealed this unit, we have this listed for parts or repair and cannot accept returns on this unit. Please be sure by part number and pictures that this is the correct unit you are needing prior to purchasing! |
