Mercury Lower Unit 1980-1986 35 40 45 50 60 70 HP 2 and 3 Cylinder

This lower unit is also interchangeable with the 1971-1979 40-70 HP Engines but this model has square cavitation plate and the 1971-1979 has the round. This unit will not fit the newer 90s model 3 Cylinder 50-60 HP Engines as they have a bigger gearcase. This lower unit was removed from a freshwater engine. The cavitation plate is in good condition. The skeg does have paint wear on it that will not affect the performance. Overall its in great condition but does have some scratches here and there as any used part would. The driveshaft spline count is 11 and the length of the driveshaft is 21 1/4". The spline count on the propeller shaft is 13. The speedometer connector assembly is broken (see picture). This unit was drained and is free of any metal or water in the gear housing. The unit was pressure tested and has no leaks. The unit was also tested to make sure it was shifting in and out of gear properly and it is. If you have any questions please feel free to contact us!
