Part Number	The powerhead has the following casting numbers: The back half (cylinder side) is stamped 852-7738. The intake side is stamped with 971-7328. Please take a close look at the photos, compare that and the casting numbers to yours, and be sure that this is what you need.
Additional Info	Mercury inline 6 powerhead, early to mid-80’s. This powerhead came in loose in pieces. It looks like a rebuild that never got completed. The crank had 2 brand new, standard pistons on it and was installed but they weren’t the right pistons and then it was set aside before ever being run. In any case, this is what is here. It’s the 2 halves of the block. There are no bolts, no side covers, no cylinder cover. The block is undamaged. There’s no scoring in the sleeves at all. It had standard pistons on the crank, albeit 2 wrong ones, but they were all standard still. There’s no corrosion to speak of. Normal carbon in the exhaust. For the purpose of shipping, I’ve removed and included the studs in the packaging.We guarantee the condition of this block but it is sold with all of the information I know and it is as-is. Because we have this listed for parts/repair because it is an empty block, we cannot accept returns on this item. Please be confident prior to purchasing that this is the correct one you are needing.
Fits:	Early-Mid 80's This is definitely a NON-DISTRIBUTOR motor, so at least mid- 1979 and up.
