Description
This listing is for a complete ignition system removed from a Mercury 3.0L EFI V6 outboard engine.
These engines use a dual-computer system, where one ECU controls ignition timing and the other controls fuel injection. The system works together with CDM ignition modules to produce spark.
This assembly mounts to the electrical plate on the starboard side of the powerhead and is commonly replaced as a complete system when repairing engines with damaged or missing electrical components.
Condition
- Used OEM Mercury ignition system
- ECU housings show some exterior corrosion, likely caused by a mouse nest in the engine compartment
- Despite the cosmetic corrosion, the system produced spark on the engine prior to removal
- Based on testing, we believe the system to be in good working condition
- Normal cosmetic wear from use
