**Due to shipping restrictions, lower unit are shipped empty. Every lower unit requires new oil to be installed when you receive it.

To obtain the 1 year warranty, you MUST send in your core lower unit. We will even pay to have your core shipped to us! Below is the criteria required to validate the warranty:

Core must be of rebuildable quality
Cannot be locked up - driveshaft must spin
Up to 30 days from the date of purchase to send your core in
Covers mechanical aspects ONLY
Warranty begins from date of purchase
Core must be complete and cannot be missing parts

You will receive two copies of the terms and conditions for the lower unit 1 year warranty. One copy MUST be signed and returned with your core. Without a returned signed copy, the one year warranty will not be valid.

Upon receipt of your core, we will inspect the unit to determine if it meets the criteria to validate the 1 year warranty. We reserve the right to accept or reject any core at our discretion.

We also offer a 45 day return policy on this product so you can purchase it with confidence. If you have any issues with the product, please reach out to us and we would be happy to help resolve any issue that may occur.

Please be absolutely sure this is the correct one for your motor prior to purchasing. If you purchase this item incorrectly or change your mind and no longer want the item, we will accept a return within 45 days however, we will charge our initial shipping cost and a 20% restocking fee. If you're looking this up for the 70 80 85 90 HP, you'll have noticed that the lower units are essentially identical. The difference in the 2 units is that they have different gear ratios. The 2 units are interchangeable but may require you to change propellers in order to maintain the same speeds your boat would do before. So, in short-this unit is for 100 115 125 HP 4 cylinders from 1987-1997. It will look and fit identically with the 75-90 HP 3 cylinder models in the same year, but the gear ratio is different.
