This lower unit is in excellent condition. This is a 3 jaw unit. This unit has been opened, inspected, and fully resealed with a new impeller. The gears are in excellent condition with good clutch plates. No metal in oil previously. Has a brand new skeg gard (see pictures). This is ready to install, just add oil. Given our unprecedented 1 year warranty on every lower unit, you will never find a better deal on an OEM lower unit. Purchase with confidence! The difference in the 2 units is that they have different gear ratios. The 2 units are interchangeable but may require you to change propellers in order to maintain the same speeds your boat would do before. So, in short-this unit is for 100 115 125 HP 4 cylinders from 1987-1997. It will look and fit identically with the 75-90 HP 3 cylinder models in the same year, but the gear ratio is different.
