This lower unit does have a 2:1 gear ratio and was removed from a freshwater engine. When we opened this up, we noticed that the gears were in great condition. This unit holds pressure. Both shafts are straight, and the unit shifts and spins smoothly. There are scuffs, scratches, and chips in the paint, but this is very common in lower units. There is a little corrosion on this unit, please see pictures. This does not come with the propeller, or propeller hardware. This will come exactly as pictured. The unit has been drained of oil and this will need to be added prior to installation.

This product is still covered by the mechanical warranty, offered in exchange for your core, that we have stated in the listing.

You will receive two copies of the terms and conditions for the lower unit six month warranty. One copy MUST be signed and returned with your core. Without a returned signed copy, the six month warranty will not be valid.

Fits:

1976-2005 - 135 150 HP - 2:1 Gear Ratio

If you have a V6 lower unit with a preload pin, it could only be used only from 1976-1988. If you have a lower unit that does not have a preload pin, it can be used from 1976-2005.

Please note that this lower unit has a 2:1 gear ratio. These can be used on a 175 or 200 HP motors as well, but the propeller will need to be switched out to keep you within the reccomended RPM.

We have provided this cross-reference with the resources we have available in regards to fitment. This most likely will not fit every model for the years and horsepowers we have listed.
