| Additional Info | This lower unit was removed from a freshwater engine. The paint is chipped, scuffed and scratched in areas, but these are cosmetic issues and will not affect performance. There are minor dings around the skeg, but this will not affect the performance. The drive shaft measures 23 3/4" Long and has 6 splines. The prop shaft is straight & has 8 splines. All splines are in good condition. This unit has been drained and will need oil put in prior to use. The shift rod is the most important piece of this unit when interchanging. There are 3 different shift rods that will differ in the late 60's early to mid 70's lower units. This shift rod measures 10 1/8" and has 8 splines. The splines are just over an inch long. Please look at the pictures closely to make sure the shift rods are a match. This unit did not pressure check and will need a reseal and a new impeller and leaks from the carrier. It does shift and spin well. Please refer to the photos to verify what is included in this listing and the condition these parts are in prior to ordering. Purchase with confidence. **Due to shipping restrictions, lower unit are shipped empty. Every lower unit requires new oil to be installed when you receive it.
