This upper housing was removed from a freshwater engine. The paint is scuffed and scratched in places, but this is only cosmetic and will not affect performance. This has been open and inspected and the gears are in good condition. There is some surface rust on u-joint, but again this will not affect performance. This unit turns smoothly as it should. This will make a great replacement. Purchase with confidence! Please add oil before installation.We are now offering a 6 Month mechanical warranty for this part.
