This piston is in excellent condition.  Rest assured that they don’t come out of an engine looking like this.  After removal, the piston was disassembled, the rings removed, and we vapor blasted the piston until it looks like new.  Most importantly, we’ve provided a piston that you can actually inspect before you put it into a very expensive rebuild job!  Vapor blasting provides a glass-smooth finish that is not only exceptionally clean, but will resist future carbon buildup as well or better than the original manufacturer specs.  The standards in this shop are second to none.  Any piston with scoring on the skirt of the piston is an immediate reject.  You may occasionally see a minor rub mark but overall, we put out pistons that are clean enough to be considered like-new.
