| Additional Info | This lower unit has been pressure-checked and will need a seal around the shift rod. The unit works smoothly into forward, neutral, and reverse. The cavitation plate is in good condition and the lower unit shows no signs of ever having been used in saltwater. The driveshaft splines show slight wear and there's no rust on the shaft. As with any used lower unit, please install a new impeller prior to use. Beyond that, add oil and go. The only thing that is not checked on lower units is the condition of the impeller. We advise changing impellers anytime you replace a lower unit. Please refer to photos for exact listing content details and to insure that you are ordering the correct part for your boating needs. | Fits: | Unknown. It came from a 1968 V4SL-20A, which is an 85 HP. I can see that it fits the 65 from the same year. It should fit other V4's in the mid to late 60's, but I don't have cross-references going that far back. At this time, we are unsure of all the years and horsepowers that this will fit.
