This was an aftermarket replacement gearcase for a 2000 Johnson 150 that we purchased. The lower unit had failed and ground the forward, reverse, and pinion gears so we stripped it out for parts. This case is in good condition on the outside. There was a little metal grinding on the inside and there are a couple of rough spots that you can feel when you reach in there but I'm certain that this is still in very usable condition and will work for you. Because this was an aftermarket model, it's been primed and they never bothered to paint it. |
