This is due to exceptionally high shipping, particularly on the larger hoods. We provide measurements on many hoods simply because they came in loose and we don't know what they fit. If you need further help with measurements, please feel free to contact us with the information below.
We as a business have brought in over 400 hoods in recent months. They are, in large part, completely unidentified. In rare cases, we will recognize them and venture a guess as to exactly what year of motor they were removed from but in much larger part, we will simply take measurements and leave the question of whether or not it will fit to your discretion. We are trying very hard to help with the measurements but will not take returns on hoods that do not fit, so please follow the old saying-measure twice...cut (or purchase) once. If you need additional measurements, pictures, etc...please don't hesitate to ask. This listing is for a Johnson & Evinrude 40 48 50 Bottom pan cover would serve you nicely.This hood was used on motors from 1989-1996. This hood is a blue color. It does have several scratches on the outside and intrerior. It has a nick on the front but is not threw fiberglass .There are no breaks or cracks anywhere. We have taken pictures of all to aid you in your choice. This hood wont win any beauty contest but will serve you nicely.
