This is a new old stock Sierra lower unit for the 1989-1992 Johnson and Evinrude 40, 48, and 50 hp 2 cylinder outboard.  Its for a 20" engine.  These have become increasingly difficult to find and impossible to find in new condition.  I picked this up from a local shop.  It has spent some years sitting on a shelf and is scratched up but that is only cosmetic.  As a new unit, these were sold without the water pump so you'll need to use your old one.  If you need help with that, please ask.

The unit has been drained of oil and will need to be added prior to installation.  The driveshaft measures approximately 22" long and has 14 splines.  The propeller shaft has 13 splines. All of them are in great shape.  Given our unprecedented 1 year warranty on every lower unit, you will never find a better deal on an OEM lower unit.  Purchase with confidence!
