This unit is in overall good condition and will make a great replacement. We did open and inspected the internals of of unit and the gears all look good and are in good condition. Unit has been pressure checked. Unit turns and shifts smoothly. This has the shear-pin style propeller shaft and is a splitcase unit. From the top of the water pump, the driveshaft measures approximately 20" long. There are 4 splines on the driveshaft, slightly worn. Also, the unit has been drained of oil and will need to be added prior to installation. The paint is worn and scuffed in some areas, but is entirely cosmetic. This will come exactly as pictured and will make a great replacement for your outboard! Please add oil before use! To obtain the 6 month warranty, you MUST send in your core lower unit. We will even pay to have your core shipped to us! Below is the criteria required to validate the warranty:
You will receive two copies of the terms and conditions for the lower unit 6 month warranty. One copy MUST be signed and returned with your core. Without a returned signed copy, the 6 month warranty will not be valid. Upon receipt of your core, we will inspect the unit to determine if it meets the criteria to validate the 6 month warranty. We reserve the right to accept or reject any core at our discretion. Please note that we will not accept returns for this item if ordered incorrectly.
