| Additional Info | This Volvo Penta lower unit was removed from a freshwater 1.43 gear ratio outdrive. Unfortunately, we do not have the necessary tools to be able to open and inspect the insides or do a pressure check on this. There are some scuffs and scratches in the paint and damage to the skeg but nothing that will affect the overall performance of this lower unit. What we do know about this is that everything spins smoothy. The propeller shaft is straight with no damage at all. When we drained the oil from this lower unit, we noticed that it was like-new and had no metal in it. This will make a great replacement for your outboard! The driveshaft measures approximately 3-1/2" and has 17 splines. The propeller shaft itself has 19 splines. All of the splines on all these shafts, are straight and in excellent condition.
