| Condition | Used- This can be a long or x-long lower unit. The paint is in pretty nice condition. There are a few very minor scratches in the paint on both sides of the unit. The unit was drained and is free of any metal or water in the oil. The unit was pressure tested and is holding pressure flawlessly. The unit was also tested to make sure it was shifting in and out of gear properly and it was. This lower unit is in very, very good condition and will make an excellent replacement for your outboard. |
| Additional Info | All lower units are tested in-house. We perform a pressure-test and we ensure that it is working in forward, reverse, and neutral. Generally speaking, lower units are mechanical, so testing is simple enough. The only thing that is not checked on lower units is the condition of the impeller. We advise changing impellers anytime you replace a lower unit. If you call in your order, we can give you a price and timeframe for a new impeller and we will install a new impeller for you at cost. This is a service to you and we are happy to provide it for no additional labor charge. Due to shipping restrictions, lower unit are shipped empty. Every lower unit requires new oil to be installed upon receipt. We will be happy to provide assistance with this if you have not done it before. |
