  • This is a very good gearcase.
  • We drained it and the lower unit oil was in great shape, with no signs of metal or water.
  • The skeg is in great shape.
  • This has been pressure-tested.
  • We do recommend installing a new impeller.
  • There are some scuffs and scratches in the paint, but nothing that will affect the overall performance.
  • Due to the age of the lower unit, we do recommend a new seal kit.

    From the top of the water pump to the tip of the driveshaft, the shaft measures approximately 15.75" long and has 9 splines. The propeller shaft 9 splines. The splines are all in great condition.

    This unit is being sold with a 6 month working warranty that covers the gears, bearings, and shafts.  It does not cover the seals due to the age of the lower unit.  No core will be required to validate this warranty.
