This is a very good gearcase. We drained it and the lower unit oil was in great shape, with no signs of metal or water. The skeg is in great shape. This has been pressure-tested. It needs a new impeller and oil, and then you can be in the water. There are some scuffs and scratches in the paint, but nothing that will affect the overall performance. Due to the age of the lower unit, we do recommend a new seal kit.

From the top of the water pump to the tip of the driveshaft, the shaft measures approximately 11-7/8" long and has 11 splines. The propeller shaft 10 splines.
