OMC Stringer 1984 Complete Motor 3.0L 2 Barrel GOOD FRESHWATER CONDITION

• This engine is a 1984 3.0L Stringer 
• No signs of salt water use
• A thorough inspection of manifold and block has been done and no damage found.
• Due to limited resources we were unable to run this motor or test for spark.  We were able to get cold compression readings as follows:

• While these readings are evenly low, we are unsure of how long this motor has been in storage.  
• Recommend running the engine for a time to let it warm up and loosen the rings and clear carbon to even out and raise the compression readings
• Distributor was opened and inspected and the points, cap, and rotor look clean with no oxidation
• Included with this engine is the Intermediate Housing Assembly with internals
• We recommend a basic tune up, some new spark plugs, a carb cleaning, a new belt and it looks like this will be ready for installation
• We have sprayed the carb and cylinder walls with fogging oil for further storage
