| Additional Info | This is a good, used starter that's been cleaned and tested. It has 9 teeth on the drive gear (bendix) that are in good condition and should work perfectly. Please note that this is an original OEM starter, not an aftermarket brand. Generally speaking, we test starters while still on the engine to ensure that they turn the engine over correctly with no hanging up or whining. When starters come in already off the engine or a block is frozen and the starter cannot be engine tested, they are bench tested with 12 volts. Should you have any issue with the starter, we will be happy to replace or refund, as necessary. As with any used part, this starter does have the normal, minor signs of previous use, but nothing that will affect the overall performance. This will make a great replacement part for your outboard! At this time, we are able to bench test this item. We are now offering a 1 year mechanical warranty for this part. Should you have any problems within this time frame, we will simply refund/replace the item as necessary. Please note that if this is ordered incorrectly, we will NOT accept returns on the parts.
