| Additional Info | This Mercury powerhead was removed from a 1997 50 HP freshwater engine. we opened and inspected this powerhead after running a compression test. Upon inspection we found that the head gasket had failed between the oil port which allowed water to pass under the gasket. All the cylinder walls look great with no scoring. This will need a new gasket set but it then should make a great replacement. Please note that we will not accept returns for this item.
