This unit is in overall good condition and will make a great replacement. We did open and inspect the internals of of unit and the gears all look good and are in good condition. Unit has been pressure checked and has had a new impeller installed. Unit spins and shifts smoothly. This has the 13 spline propeller shaft and is a splitcase unit. From the top of the water pump, the driveshaft measures approximately 16 3/4" long. There are 14 splines on the driveshaft that do show slight wear.
Also, the unit has been drained of oil and will need to be added prior to installation. The paint is worn and scuffed in some areas, but is entirely cosmetic. This will come exactly as pictured and will make a great replacement for your outboard!

To obtain the 6 month warranty, you MUST send in your core lower unit. We will even pay to have your core shipped to us! Below is the criteria required to validate the warranty:

  • Core must be of rebuildable quality
  • Cannot be locked up - driveshaft must spin
  • Up to 30 days from the date of purchase to send in your core
  • Covers mechanical aspects ONLY
  • Warranty begins from date of purchase
  • Core must be complete and cannot be missing parts

You will receive two copies of the terms and conditions for the lower unit 6 month warranty. One copy MUST be signed and returned with your core. Without a returned signed copy, the one year warranty will not be valid. 

Upon receipt of your core, we will inspect the unit to determine if it meets the criteria to validate the 6 month warranty. We reserve the right to accept or reject any core at our discretion.

Please note that we will not accept returns for this item if ordered incorrectly. Please be absolutely sure this is the correct one for your motor prior to purchasing.
