This lower unit is in excellent condition. We took the time to professionally clean and inspect this item to give you confidence in your purchase. From the top of the water pump to the end, the driveshaft measures approximately 20" long and has a 13/15 spline count. All of the splines are in great shape and the skeg is not cracked or broken. This will not fit an Optimax, carbureted engines only. We are offering a 6 MONTH WARRANTY on this lower unit, Purchase with confidence!

General Information

• Freshwater condition
• Pressure checked to 12 PSI minimum
• Impeller has NOT been changed
• No metal in oil
• Shafts checked for straightness
• Shifts and spins smoothly
• Will need to add oil before use

**Due to shipping restrictions, lower unit are shipped empty. Every lower unit requires new oil to be installed when you receive it.

To obtain the 6 month warranty, you MUST send in your core lower unit. We will even pay to have your core shipped to us! Below is the criteria required to validate the warranty:

• Core must be of rebuildable quality
• Cannot be locked up - driveshaft must spin
• Up to 30 days from the date of purchase to send in your core
• Covers mechanical aspects ONLY
• Warranty begins from date of purchase
• Core must be complete and cannot be missing parts

You will receive two copies of the terms and conditions for the lower unit 6 month warranty. One copy MUST be signed and returned with your core. Without a returned signed copy, the 6 month warranty will not be valid. 

Upon receipt of your core, we will inspect the unit to determine if it meets the criteria to validate the 6 month warranty. We reserve the right to accept or reject any core at our discretion.

Also, this lower unit can be used from 1987-1997, but the shift rod will have to be changed as well. The powerhead will need to be removed to perform this last option.
