This lower unit was removed from a freshwater engine and is in great condition.
The paint is scratched up.
This does not come with the trim tab.
Unit shifts and spins smoothly without binding and the prop shaft is straight
The gears and clutch are in good condition
The oil was clean and free of heavy metal and water when drained
The paint is a little banged up
This includes everything pictured
The unit is fully resealed, pressure checked with a new impeller installed
The unit has been drained of oil and this will need to be added prior to installation.

***After 1991, what Johnson and Evinrude did was to use different driveshafts and shift rods with different lower units. In short, you may need to use your original driveshaft and shift rod from your old lower unit in order to install this unit. The spline counts were all the same and many of the shafts would interchange but there are some cases where the driveshaft on one unit was shorter or longer than on another. If you are not sure it has the same driveshaft, please consult a mechanic or a manual for the steps to change out the 2 piece driveshaft prior to installation. If you would like to have us change that shaft out, please contact us prior to purchase.

You will receive two copies of the terms and conditions for the lower unit one year warranty. One copy is for your records and the other copy MUST be signed and returned with your core. Without a returned signed copy, the one year warranty will not be valid. You are responsible for returning the paperwork with your core. The one warranty ONLY covers the mechanical aspects of the lower unit.

This unit would not be recommended for a high output (HO) ETEC as a replacement for a magnum lower unit. Magnum I and Magnum II lower units use larger diameter gears for those units in comparison to the gear sizes for this unit.

Also, please note that this is Lightning I lower unit.
