1989-01 Johnson Evinrude 20" Lower Unit 60 70 HP 3 Cylinder 6 MONTH WARRANTY

This lower unit is in good condition and is ready for installation. All you have to do is add oil! We have take the time to professionally clean and inspect this item to give you confidence in your purchase. From the top of the water pump to the end, the driveshaft measures approximately 19" long and has 17 splines. The driveshaft has some rust like it's been in saltwater, see pictures. The propeller shaft has 13 splines. All of the splines are in great shape and are not chipped and twisted. As with any used part, this item does has some light scratching and wear in the paint, but this is entirely cosmetic. There is some light wear on the housing around the propeller shaft but nothing that will affect performance. There are 4 holes drilled in the cavitation plate from prior planing fin use. Given our unprecedented 6 month warranty on this lower unit, you will never find a better deal on an OEM lower unit.  Purchase with confidence!

**Due to shipping restrictions, lower unit are shipped empty. Every lower unit requires new oil to be installed when you receive it.

To obtain the 6 month warranty, you MUST send in your core lower unit. We will even pay to have your core shipped to us! Below is the criteria required to validate the warranty:

• Core must be of rebuildable quality
• Cannot be locked up - driveshaft must spin
• Up to 30 days from the date of purchase to send in your core
• Covers mechanical aspects ONLY
• Warranty begins from date of purchase
• Core must be complete and cannot be missing parts

You will receive two copies of the terms and conditions for the lower unit 6 month warranty. One copy MUST be signed and returned with your core. Without a returned signed copy, the 6 month warranty will not be valid. 

Upon receipt of your core, we will inspect the unit to determine if it meets the criteria to validate the 6 month warranty. We reserve the right to accept or reject any core at our discretion.

We have provided this cross-reference with the resources we have available in regards to fitment. This most likely will not fit every model for the years and horsepowers we have listed.
