This housing is the 3-Jaw Reverse Clutch style. Mercury produced both 3-Jaw and 6-Jaw clutch variants in overlapping years on similar housings — the two are not cross-compatible without pulling the powerhead and changing the shift shaft. Verify your clutch system by serial number before purchasing.
