This Johnson Evinrude lower unit is in excellent condition and ready for installation. We have taken the time to professionally strip and prime this lower unit. While it can be left like this, it can also be sanded and repainted to your preferred color. There are some chips in the skeg, but nothing that will affect performance. There is also a slight bend in the cavitation plate, purely cosmetic.  During our inspection we also noticed that there are holes pre-drilled in the cavitation plate where a planing fin once was. We also noticed that the mounting hole is damaged but still fully functional. From the base of the water pump to the top, the driveshaft measures approximately 18-3/4" long and has 20 splines. The propeller shaft has 15 splines. The propeller shaft do have some minor signs of pitting, but a propeller will still fit snug on it. Please note that this does not come with the trim tab, propeller, or the propeller hardware. All of these things can be used from your current lower unit. We have installed new intake screens. Upon our inspection, we did notice that the skeg appears to have been welded, please see pictures. We cannot ship our lower units with oil and therefore, we have drained the unit. This will have to be added prior to installation. Purchase with confidence!

To obtain the 1 year warranty, you MUST send in your core lower unit. We will even pay to have your core shipped to us! Below is the criteria required to validate the warranty:

• Core must be of rebuildable quality
• Cannot be locked up - driveshaft must spin
• Up to 30 days from the date of purchase to send in your core
• Covers mechanical aspects ONLY
• Warranty begins from date of purchase
• Core must be complete and cannot be missing parts
  
  

You will receive two copies of the terms and conditions for the lower unit one year warranty. One copy MUST be signed and returned with your core. Without a returned signed copy, the one year warranty will not be valid.

Upon receipt of your core, we will inspect the unit to determine if it meets the criteria to validate the 1 year warranty. We reserve the right to accept or reject any core at our discretion.
