This lower unit was removed from freshwater engine. We have taken the time to open this and inspect this lower unit. After that, we took the time to strip and prime this lower unit, so it is ready for a new coat of paint! This does come with the trim tab. There is cracking in the intake screens, but these can be replaced. There is some minor pitting of the housing where the shift rod goes, but this will not affect the overall performance. Upon inspection, we can note that the gears are in great condition. We did notice there is also some minor pitting on the splines of the propeller shaft, but a propeller will still go on there snuggly. Given our unprecedented 1 year warranty on every lower unit, you will never find a better deal on an OEM lower unit. Please make sure to add oil before use. Purchase with confidence!
