| Additional Info | This lower unit is in excellent condition and is ready for your engine. We have stripped the unit of paint and primed it to have it ready for a fresh coat of paint. There are not any cracks or breaks in the housing whatsoever. The skeg is fully intact. This does come with the trim tab. From the top of the water pump, the driveshaft measures approximately 21-1/4" long and has 8 splines. The propeller shaft has 15 splines. The splines are not cracked or chipped. We cannot ship lower units with oil in them so this must be done prior to installation. | Fits: | 1976-2005 - 135 150 175 200 HP - 1.87:1 Gear Ratio Mercury V6’s originally used a preload pin from 1976-1988. Aftermarket replacements and 1989 & up V6 lower units did not. Therefore, if you have a V6 lower unit with a preload pin, it could only be used only from 1976-1988. If you have a lower unit that does not have a preload pin, it can be used from 1976-2005. Also, please note that this is the bigger bullet style housing with a 4.75" diameter. |
