| Additional Info | This lower unit is in good freshwater condition and is ready for your engine. The paint on the unit is in pretty good shape with only minor flaws. There are not any cracks or breaks in the housing whatsoever. The skeg is fully intact with only minor dings. This does come not with the trim tab, the propeller, or the propeller hardware. From the top of the water pump, the driveshaft measures approximately 21-1/4" long and has 8 splines. The propeller shaft has 15 splines. The splines are in good condition and are not cracked or chipped. We cannot ship lower units with oil in them so this must be done prior to installation. To obtain the 1 year warranty, you MUST send in your core lower unit. We will even pay to have your core shipped to us! Below is the criteria required to validate the warranty:
You will receive two copies of the terms and conditions for the lower unit one year warranty. One copy is for your records and the other copy MUST be signed and returned with your core. Without a returned signed copy, the one year warranty will not be valid. You are responsible for returning the paperwork with your core. The one warranty ONLY covers the mechanical aspects of the lower unit. We have a 30-day return policy for all circumstances. Upon receipt of your core, we will inspect the unit to determine if it meets the criteria to validate the 1 year warranty. We reserve the right to accept or reject any core at our discretion. | Fits: | 1976-2005 - 135 150 HP - 2.0:1 Gear Ratio Mercury V6’s originally used a preload pin from 1976-1988. Aftermarket replacements and 1989 & up V6 lower units did not. Therefore, if you have a V6 lower unit with a preload pin, it could only be used only from 1976-1988. If you have a lower unit that does not have a preload pin, it can be used from 1976-2005. Also please note that this unit has a 2.0:1 gear ratio which is designed for the 135 & 150 HP motors. It will fit the 175 & 200 HP motors, but will need a propeller change. We have provided this cross-reference with the resources we have available in regards to fitment. This most likely will not fit every model for the years and horsepowers we have listed. We urge you to make sure this is the exact item you need by matching the part number to what is required for your motor.
