| Fits: | 1976-1988 - 175 200 HP - 1.87:1 Gear Ratio - 135 150 HP - 2.0:1 Gear ratio - therefore you will need to change your propeller Mercury V6’s originally used a preload pin from 1976-1988. Aftermarket replacements and 1989 & up V6 lower units did not. Therefore, if you have a V6 lower unit with a preload pin, it could only be used only from 1976-1988. If you have a lower unit that does not have a preload pin, it can be used from 1976-2005. Also, please note that this is the bigger bullet style housing with a 4.75" diameter. |
