| Additional Info | This lower unit is in excellent condition and is ready for your engine. The skeg is fully intact. This does not come with the trim tab and this unit holds pressure at 15 PSI. We installed a new impeller as well. From the top of the water pump, the driveshaft measures approximately 21" long and has 8 splines. The propeller shaft has 15 splines. The driveshaft splines show a bit of wear but this has a ton of life left in it and the shafts are straight. We cannot ship lower units with oil in them so this must be done prior to installation. This has a 6 MONTH WARRANTY so purchase with confidence! General Information

| Fits: | 1976-1988 - 175 200 HP - 1.87:1 Gear Ratio - 135 150 HP - 2.0:1 Gear ratio - therefore you will need to change your propeller Mercury V6’s originally used a preload pin from 1976-1988. Aftermarket replacements and 1989 & up V6 lower units did not. Therefore, if you have a V6 lower unit with a preload pin, it could only be used only from 1976-1988. If you have a lower unit that does not have a preload pin, it can be used from 1976-2005. Also, please note that this is the bigger bullet style housing with a 4.75" diameter. |
