This lower unit is in good freshwater condition. From the top of the water pump, the driveshaft measures approximately 19" long. There are 4 splines on the top of the driveshaft and 13 on the propeller shaft.  The intake screens are intact with no signs of cracking. This unit shifts and spins smoothly with no binding, the prop shaft is straight. The driveshaft splines are showing little to no wear. This unit had clean oil free of metal and water. The paint is a little banged up. The gears and clutch are in excellent condition with very little wear. This unit has been fully resealed and pressure checked with a new impeller installed. This does not come with the trim tab, the propeller or the propeller hardware. Also, please note that we cannot ship lower units with oil in them and this will have to be added prior to installation.  Given our unprecedented 1 year warranty on this lower unit, you will never find a better deal on an OEM lower unit.  Purchase with confidence!

To obtain the 1 year warranty, you MUST send in your core lower unit. We will even pay to have your core shipped to us! Below is the criteria required to validate the warranty:

• Core must be of rebuildable quality
• Cannot be locked up - driveshaft must spin
• Up to 30 days from the date of purchase to send in your core
• Covers mechanical aspects ONLY
• Warranty begins from date of purchase
• Core must be complete and cannot be missing parts

You will receive two copies of the terms and conditions for the lower unit one year warranty. One copy is for your records and the other copy MUST be signed and returned with your core. Without a returned signed copy, the one year warranty will not be valid. You are responsible for returning the paperwork with your core. The one warranty ONLY covers the mechanical aspects of the lower unit. 

Upon receipt of your core, we will inspect the unit to determine if it meets the criteria to validate the 1 year warranty. We reserve the right to accept or reject any core at our discretion. Identical to earlier 1973-75 lower unit, but up is forward on this
model and it’s opposite on earlier model. Also, the driveshaft is shorter than the earlier models. Approximately ½”, measuring 19-1/4”
