This lower unit does have a 2:1 gear ratio and was removed from a freshwater engine. When we opened this up, we noticed that the gears were in great condition. There are scuffs, scratches, and chips in the paint, but this is very common in lower units. This does not come with the trim tab, propeller, or propeller hardware. This will come exactly as pictured. This does have a big bullet for the propeller, which is 4-3/4".This unit is missing the forward stud and buyer will need to replace. The unit has been drained of oil and this will need to be added prior to installation. Purcahse with confidence! We do not take returns on incorrectly ordered items. To obtain the 6 month warranty, you MUST send in your core lower unit. We will even pay to have your core shipped to us! Below is the criteria required to validate the warranty:
You will receive two copies of the terms and conditions for the lower unit 6 month warranty. One copy MUST be signed and returned with your core. Without a returned signed copy, the 6 month warranty will not be valid. Upon receipt of your core, we will inspect the unit to determine if it meets the criteria to validate the 6 month warranty. We reserve the right to accept or reject any core at our discretion. |
| Fits: | 1976-2005 - 135 150 HP - 2:1 Gear Ratio If you have a V6 lower unit with a preload pin, it could only be used only from 1976-1988. If you have a lower unit that does not have a preload pin, it can be used from 1976-2005. Please note that this lower unit has a 2:1 gear ratio. These can be used on a 175 or 200 HP motors as well, but the propeller will need to be switched out to keep you within the reccomended RPM. We have provided this cross-reference with the resources we have available in regards to fitment. This most likely will not fit every model for the years and horsepowers we have listed. We urge you to make sure this is the exact item you need by matching the part number to what is required for your motor.
