| Additional Info | This lower unit is in good freshwater condition and is ready for your engine. The paint does have some cosmetic flaws such as scuffs and scratches. There are not any cracks or breaks in the housing whatsoever. We even took the time to add on a new skeggard which is a $100 value itself. This does come not with the trim tab, the propeller, or the propeller hardware. The splines are in good condition and are not cracked or chipped. Please note that this does not come with the trim tab, propeller, or the propeller hardware. This has a 4-3/4" big bullet. We cannot ship lower units with oil in them so this must be done prior to installation. Given our unprecedented 1 year warranty on every lower unit, you will never find a better deal on an OEM lower unit. Purchase with confidence! These 1.78 Ratio lower units were mostly used on late 80's Mercury 150 XR4's and Magnum units but with proper propping, they can be used on any of the applications in the title. You will receive two copies of the terms and conditions for the lower unit one year warranty. One copy MUST be signed and returned with your core. Without a returned signed copy, the one year warranty will not be valid. Upon receipt of your core, we will inspect the unit to determine if it meets the criteria to validate the 1 year warranty. | Fits: | 1976-2005 - 135 150 175 200 HP - 1.75:1 Gear Ratio Mercury V6’s originally used a preload pin from 1976-1988. Aftermarket replacements and 1989 & up V6 lower units did not. Therefore, if you have a V6 lower unit with a preload pin, it could only be used only from 1976-1988. If you have a lower unit that does not have a preload pin, it can be used from 1976-2005. We have provided this cross-reference with the resources we have available in regards to fitment. This most likely will not fit every model for the years and horsepowers we have listed. We urge you to make sure this is the exact item you need by matching the part number to what is required for your motor.
