1970-1986 Mercury 20" Lower Unit 75 80 85 HP 2.33:1 Ratio Inline 4 6 MONTH WRTY!

This specific lower unit is in great condition. We have professionally inspected this unit to guarantee it to be in great, working condition. There are some minor dings and a chip along the edge of the skeg, but this is entirely cosmetic. The paint is in overall good shape with only minor scuffs and scratches. This unit does have a 2.33 to 1 gear ratio.  Please add oil before installation. This lower unit pressure checked good with a new shift road seal and impeller.

Driveshaft measures - 20-5/8" from top of water pump housing to top of driveshaft.
Driveshaft spline count - 8
Prop shaft spline count - 15

**Due to shipping restrictions, lower unit are shipped empty. Every lower unit requires new oil to be installed when you receive it.

To obtain the 6 month warranty, you MUST send in your core lower unit. We will even pay to have your core shipped to us! Below is the criteria required to validate the warranty:

• Core must be of rebuildable quality
• Cannot be locked up - driveshaft must spin
• Up to 30 days from the date of purchase to send in your core
• Covers mechanical aspects ONLY
• Warranty begins from date of purchase
• Core must be complete and cannot be missing parts

You will receive two copies of the terms and conditions for the lower unit 6 month warranty. One copy MUST be signed and returned with your core. Without a returned signed copy, the 6 month warranty will not be valid. 

Upon receipt of your core, we will inspect the unit to determine if it meets the criteria to validate the 6 month warranty. We reserve the right to accept or reject any core at our discretion.

We have provided this cross-reference with the resources we have available in regards to fitment. This most likely will not fit every model for the years and horsepowers we have listed.
