This unit spins smoothly and at this time we are unable to test the shifting. It has a straight prop shaft. The driveshaft splines do have heavy wear and the paint is pretty beat up. The unit did pressure check and a full reseal is recommended due to the age of this unit. There are 4 splines and the driveshaft measures 17 3/8" from the top of the water pump. It has some chips in the skeg plate and a broken screw on the case extension. Please refer to the photos to verify listing contents and to insure that you are ordering the correct part for your boating needs. Prior to shipping we drain all oil out of the unit so you will need to add oil prior to use. Please note that we will not accept returns for this item.
