A vintage Mercury top cowl (hood cover) for the 700 Series inline-six, with the recoil starter still installed and working correctly. Part number 177-1673A2.
Honest shape: there’s a single chip about the size of a half-nickel on the lip, and the paint is worn. It’s not perfect, but it’s intact and entirely usable as it sits — or a great starting point for a restoration. For cross-checking your application: 18-15/16" across the bottom, front to back down the middle, and approximately 11" across the forward studs (lip to lip).
